Methodology
V-Model, Waterfall-Model or agile/lean methodologies like Scrum and Kanban, ... before you start a project it is a decision which model to choose. Popular these days is to blend different methodologies according to different phases of a project or just take an appropriate tool from one methodology and integrate it into another methodology.
Over the last decade it turned out that there are several advantages to go with agile models of Project Management. One of them beeing the shorter iterations to adapt to changes faster. Nevertheless the V-Model still is the official methodology used by federal governments like the United States of America or Germany when it comes to Project Management, especially in Software Projects. At PPC we master all common methodologies and use them in accordance with the requirements of our clients.
Our approach to Project Management
... is to asses and evaluate a project/consulting request and analyse which methodologies would be the best fit to efficiently and effectively reach the overall goals of our client. If there is a specific framework which is already in use at our clients organisation we go with the given tool-set. Independent from the chosen methodology mix we are always focusing on building up a strong team spirit from the start by mutually phrasing goals and milestones. To stay on track we constantly challenge plans in order to gain speed and eliminate unnecessary tasks. The question "Why?" is a very helpful tool on the way to efficiency and effectiveness.
Our people are certified with PMP, PRINCE2 and other common project management certifications to ensure the best understanding of successfully managing any kind of project.
