Renewables & Smart Grid
The distribution grid is the lifeline between all prosumers and plays the most important role in organizing our energy generation/consumption more efficiently. For that it is necessary to digitize all pieces within and connected to a grid, so that machines are able to communicate to one another autonomously. This will lead to measurable transparency of generation and consumption and hopefully create a state in which less energy is wasted due to missing interconnections.
We see a lot of potential but businesses and policy makers have to support this transformation in any way possible.
Transmission grid (extra high voltage)
Even with a Smart Distribution Grid it is not always possible to ideally match electric energy consumption with renewable energy generation. This is why a reliable transmission grid (extra high voltage) with an up to date infrastructure is still needed. Accompanied by smart storage and technologies like Power2Gas the transmission grid guarantees a failsafe power supply and a rock stable grid to keep production running, households well tempered and batteries charged.
